PruBSN commits RM600k for zakat, charity

Prudential BSN Takaful Bhd (PruBSN) has committed over RM600,000 through its zakat and charity endowment funds, the company said in a statement (18 Feb 2014).

Some RM400,000 is to sponsor 285 students from the the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and five selected primary schoolchildren from schools in Kuala Kangsar, Perak.


PruBSN, whose management teams is lead by CEO Azim Mithani, is a joint venture between Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) and Prudential plc (Prudential) which hold 51% and 49% stakes, respectively.
